Healing words

May 20, 2024

When you tell someone, “I love you. I’m proud of you. You did an amazing job.”

You’re not just being kind; you are sending out waves of healing.

Healing over minds. Mending the wounds of past hurts and healing over hearts.

Let’s face it, even with the person who we have devoted our earthly lives too, we don’t know what they are going thru sometimes. We don’t know what people are going through in general. They may smile on the outside, but on the inside, they’re hurting, they’re lonely, they’re insecure. Our minds can play tricks on us and something said, or heard, triggers a memory that gets pulled from the archives, a memory we thought was long forgotten, starting an auto playback. A friend once said, "my mind loops. A thought comes into play and then keeps looping." Many people have wounds from the past, 5 years ago, 2 years ago, or maybe even something said that morning. We just never know.

We all have a secret power. A superpower!

Just a simple word of encouragement, “I’m praying for you,” or a simple compliment, “You look great today,” may be no big deal to you. But to someone secretly hurting, it’s helping heal the wound, it’s lifting their spirits, it’s causing them to believe in themselves. Your words can be what keeps them moving forward.

Your words have the power to move mountains or bring down an avalanche.

So today, tap into that superpower making a way for healing, mending and encouragment.
