I DO. I DID. IM DONE.

In the past, lack of communication was often cited as the leading cause of marital failure. Couples struggled to express their needs, leading to misunderstandings and distance. But today, a new culprit is emerging—lack of commitment. In a recent survey, 73% of divorced couples stated that lack of commitment was the primary reason their marriage ended.

This statistic is heartbreaking. Marriage is supposed to be the ultimate commitment, sealed with vows, a wedding, and a legal marriage license. Couples invest time, money, and emotional energy into building a life together. If you're the wife, you likely changed your name on everything—your driver's license, credit cards, and even social media accounts.

How does that commitment fade so easily?

The truth is, commitment is not a one-time act; it's an ongoing choice. It’s the daily decision to honor your promises, even when life gets hard. Even when live gets REALLY HARD. It’s standing by your partner, working through challenges, and choosing love even when feelings wane. Somewhere along the way, many couples lose sight of that. Reclaiming commitment means embracing those daily choices again—choosing each other, every day, for life.

Commitment isn't just in the vows, but in the actions that follow.

After reading this, take a moment to reflect on your own commitment. What is one tangible action you can take this week to recommit to your marriage? Whether it's setting aside time for intentional conversation, doing something special for your spouse, or simply reminding them how much they mean to you, how will you choose to strengthen your commitment today?
